About us

System Change has been around since 2015, originally under the name “System Change, not Climate Change!”. From the very beginning, our goal has been to demonstrate that climate change is not a separate environmental problem but a crisis closely linked to the economy and societal ways of life and that socio-ecological changes are necessary in all sectors, from agriculture and energy to transportation and labor.

We are a socio-political group whose work highlights the need for comprehensive systemic critique and the demands for systemic change.
We focus on the climate crisis, which we view in connection with
other equally important issues that stand in the way of a climate-just
society and a good life for all: racism, sexism, patriarchy, nationalism, national borders (and any other form of oppression).

We view alliance-building as an important part of our political work, because together we are strong. Over the years, many projects have also grown out of System Change, which are now going their own ways.
